Ask a Scientist: Entomology and Animal Science with Shakara Maggitt
« Shakara Maggitt received a B.S in entomology and animal science at the University of Georgia. She began a master’s program in entomology at University of Georgia with Dr. Marianne Shockley until her untimely passing in 2019. After some time away, Shakara has decided to continue her research at Texas State University where she will be researching Black Soldiers Fly Larvae (BSFL) as a protein source for cattle consuming forage.
