« Just a few weeks ago, the Berkeley City Council passed a resolution to eventually transition 100% of city funds away from animal agriculture! This is great news for animals, for the planet, and for public health. But this resolution didn’t happen on its own; it was the result of months of activism by DxE and other local organizations.
Now it’s your turn. Join DxE’s Lead Organizer Almira Tanner and veterinarian Dr. Crystal Heath for a training on how you can get your city to divest from animal agriculture, too. We’ll go over the Berkeley campaign from start to finish and share key lessons and resources so you can replicate and improve our campaign in your city.
The fur ban started in West Hollywood and Berkeley and spread to the entire state of California within two years. Let’s do the same for government spending on animal products!
