Cassie Malina a fondé Awesome Animal Solutions en 2020 afin d’offrir aux personnes souhaitant aider leurs animaux à atteindre leur plein potentiel des solutions positives, peu intrusives, empreintes d’empathie, efficaces et basées sur la science. Elle propose des consultations virtuelles et en personne, ainsi que des webinaires éducatifs destinés à une clientèle qui travaille ou vit avec des animaux.
Avant 2020, Cassie a passé 22 ans chez Natural Encounters, Inc. (NEI), où elle a produit et présenté des spectacles d’oiseaux en vol libre à Disney’s Animal Kingdom et ailleurs au pays. À titre de directrice du perfectionnement du personnel chez NEI, elle a accompagné et mentoré d’innombrables membres du personnel et participants aux ateliers sur les différents aspects de la gestion et de l’entraînement d’une grande variété d’oiseaux.
Elle a été conseillère à l’école Parrot Kindergarten durant les deux premières années de l’école, à compter d’avril 2021. Cassie a enseigné l’art et la science de l’entraînement animalier lors de plusieurs ateliers, webinaires, balados et conférences aux États-Unis et à l’international.
En 2020, l’International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators (IAATE) lui a remis un prix pour l’ensemble de sa carrière, soulignant ses 20 années de service au sein du conseil d’administration.
Elle est également membre de la Zoological Association of America (ZAA), de l’Animal Behavior Management Alliance (ABMA) et de l’International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), et siège au comité sur le bien-être animal de la ZAA.
En mars 2024, elle a été invitée au balado Animal Behavior Conversations de l’ABMA pour aborder la mise en place d’un programme axé sur le comportement.
Elle a suivi le cours Living and Learning with Animals de Susan Friedman, Ph. D., et maintient ses certifications de conseillère certifiée en comportement des perroquets (CPBC, de l’anglais Certified Parrot Behavior Consultant) de l’IAABC et d’entraîneuse professionnelle d’oiseaux certifiée – avec validation des connaissances (CPBT-KA, de l’anglais Certified Professional Bird Trainer – Knowledge Assessed de l’International Avian Trainers Certification Board (IATCB).

Cassie Malina founded Awesome Animal Solutions in 2020 to provide people who want to help their animals reach their full potential with positive, low-intrusion, empathy-based, effective, and science-driven solutions. She offers both virtual and in-person consultations, as well as educational webinars for individuals who work with or live with animals.
Prior to 2020, Cassie spent 22 years with Natural Encounters, Inc. (NEI), where she produced and presented free-flight bird shows at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and across the country. As Director of Staff Development at NEI, she coached and mentored countless staff members and workshop participants on various aspects of managing and training a wide variety of birds.
She served as an advisor to Parrot Kindergarten during the school’s first two years beginning in April 2021. Cassie has taught the art and science of animal training through numerous workshops, webinars, podcasts, and conferences across the United States and internationally.
In 2020, the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators (IAATE) awarded her a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her 20 years of service on the board of directors.
She is also a member of the Zoological Association of America (ZAA), the Animal Behavior Management Alliance (ABMA), and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), and serves on the ZAA Animal Welfare Committee.
In March 2024, she was featured on the ABMA podcast Animal Behavior Conversations to discuss building a behavior-based program.
