Internationalising Vegan Sociology

Internationalising Vegan Sociology

Virtual

From the start, the International Association for Vegan Sociologists has provided aimed to provide a platform for vegan sociologists across the world to share research expertise, ideas, methodologies, and facilitate collaborations in service of nonhuman animal liberation and veganism. In the 2026 meeting of the International Association of Vegan Sociologists we want to invite participants to consider how we can achieve IAVS’s aim to increase the visibility, legitimacy of, and collaboration within vegan sociology internationally, and how connecting local and international contexts is important to understanding and challenging nonhuman animal exploitation on a global scale, and to build a more just world for nonhuman and human animals alike.
